Our Pentecost Party: celebrating the birth of the Church

Thank you to everyone who supported this fun event -- and, to quote young Robert: "this is the awesomest party ever." (To quote his dad, Ashley: "he doesn’t get out much!")

The winners of the 'Come As Your Favourite Bible Character' fancy dress competition were Mary dressed as Peter and Hayley dressed as the angel Gabriel.

Party hats were donned, Happy Birthday was sung and good old-fashioned party games were played by children and adults alike.

The cake, shaped like our own church, was decorated and consumed within minutes, as though by a swarm of locusts.

Harvest

A thank you brunch for all the young people, their youth leaders and families in our Church Family. The festivities involved sharing the fruits of the Harvest together (and dipping them in the chocolate fountain!), plus making your own pizza (and eating it, too!).

Competitive apple bobbing!

The Bible Olympics

Learning about the bible and Christian values through play.

Learning about the strength of Samson in a tug of war.

Learning about the wisdom of Solomon through an obstacle course.

Learning about the bravery of David whilst trying to knock out Goliath.

Lent

This year, we followed the Love Life Live Lent project, whereby instead of giving something up for Lent, the children tried to do a simple generous act every day for 40 days, such as hugging someone feeling sad or picking up some litter.

We wrote our acts of kindness on leaves, making up a huge tree of life by the Bellingham Chapel.
